Cemetery & Parks Meeting
June 10, 2013

The meeting was opened at 7:07PM
Present were Tubby Boucher, John Barett, Roger Rapoza Sr., and Pam Haman.

Bills were reviewed and approved

May minutes were reviewed and approved.

The Commissioners remarked that the cemeteries and parks were in fantastic shape for Memorial Day celebrations especially with all the rainy cold weather.  Great job done by Roger and the crew.

Superintendents Report:
Betty Mae expressed concern that there was/is a burnt out light bulb on the band stand and that the band players could not see.  The bulb has since been replaced.
The 32 inch hydrostatic mower has potential trade in value.  
The Water Dept will be purchasing a new truck this summer.  It may be possible to get a good deal on this truck from Townsend Ford.
Riverside Cemetery expansion is proceeding there will be approx. 41 rows front to back. Various ideas/methods of prepping the land for cemetery use were discussed.  Expansion work will start after the beginning of the new fiscal year.
Funds from the tree cuttings have been turned into the town.  An Article will be placed on the Fall Special Town Meeting in the amount of $19,729.25 to transfer back to the cemetery improvement fund.
Roger will work with the veteran’s agent to get flags placed on the stones for Memorial Day on Saturday instead of during the week which makes mowing and clean up difficult.
It has been noted that the Shanley’s are not parking at the front entrance to Howard Park as much.

The next meeting is scheduled for July 11, 2013 at 6PM for signing the year end bills.
